Bio

FUJAKO is Jonathan Uliel Saldanha aka HHY and Nicolas Esterle aka RIPIT, working with echo, bass and space, summoning unlooped hip-hop and telluric dub
from the geological strata.

HHY | Porto based multi-instrumentist and producer, founding member of the Soopa collective, Jonathan U. Saldanha explores many musical genres, applying the Dub Strategy as a philosophy. He’s active in many other projects such as United Scum Soundclash, Besta Bode, Sikhara, F.R.I.C.S., HHY & The Macumbas... ranging from conceptual sound instalation, to improve fanfara, from electronic metal to modular choir, from traditional Indian music to tribal dub. He notoriously collaborated with musicians with Mark Stuart (the pop group), Steve Mackay (the Stooges), Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound)…

RIPIT | Brussels based producer, Nicolas Esterle uses musical clichés and deconstructs them under electric clouds. He’s active in several other projects such as proteiform band Solar Skeletons, Tobias Ratzinger, Sikhara, Parade Ground.
He collaborated with several notorious artist such as Marshall Allen (Sun Ra Arkestra’s leader), Steve Mackay (The Stooges), Mike Watt (Minutemen, Stooges), Otto Van Schirach... He’s also a live sound engineer for numerous bands and a mastering wizzard.
