HIs First Steps

This opus is the precursor to Golem, the legendary album by the cosmic and psychedelic genius Sand. These early tracks are the first different versions composed between 1972 and 1973. After the breakup of POT (a proto-Sand group formed in 1969), the first SAND members, now reduced to three, settled in the basement of Claudiusstrasse and set up an alchemical assembly workshop, where they resurrected the Golem archetype. SAND considered themselves a community of exiles in a fascinating place, imbued with a particularly strange energy…

This series of Sand albums is entitled “INXOM,” with each letter corresponding to an album.

It is also called “INXODEM” and includes five Sand albums (INXOM) from the 1970s, plus one album by Nurse With Wound and one 12-inch single by Current 93 :

“North Atlantic Raven” (M) / unreleased album, tracks composed in 1973, 1975 and 1976 (first released in 2014).
“Chromanatron” (E), by Nurse With Wound, composed in 2013 with sounds and excerpts from Sand (first published in 2013).
“When the May Rain Comes” (D), 2 variants of the cover version of Sand’s “May Rain” by Current 93 (first published in 1992).
